Senior DevOps Engineer

The Senior DevOps Engineer will serve as a critical link between technology and the wider business, optimizing the ViewPoint system landscape. This role supports the development and OpsTech teams by managing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure to ensure seamless software delivery and system reliability.

You’ll collaborate closely with DevOps engineers, developers, infrastructure teams, Scrum Masters, and analysts to ensure efficient operations and high-performance systems.

About the Operations Technology Team

The Operations Technology team oversees key Service Delivery applications across Corporate & Fund Services, including areas like Entity Management, Document Management Systems (DMS), Client KYC and Screening, Client Regulatory Filings, Client Accounting, and Workflow Management. We convert commercial and market needs into actionable roadmaps and oversee application strategy, enhancements, and implementations.

Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance:

• Software installation and upgrades
• Deployment and testing of system upgrades
• Promoting configuration or new changes across environments

DevOps Best Practices:

• Continuous Integration: Automate, merge, and test code
• Continuous Delivery: Build, test, and deploy to test and production environments efficiently
• Configuration Management: Centralize and track configuration items to prevent drift
• Version Control: Track revisions, manage rollbacks, handle conflicts
• Automate recurring tasks
• Standardize and document processes
• Provide technical guidance to the DevOps team

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work with the infrastructure team to ensure smooth system performance
• Collaborate with development, QA, and Scrum teams to deliver services and implement best practices
• Engage with analysts and business teams on prioritization and sequencing, considering business strategies, risks, and technical requirements
• Present technical information clearly for business users

SDLC / Sprint Process:

• Deliver new business requirements or enhancements through Agile methodologies
• Support data migration projects, client onboarding, and system rationalization
• Facilitate Quality and User Acceptance Testing

Relevant Experience and Skills

• Strong technical expertise in systems like ViewPoint, S4/Hana, and related technologies
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices
• Understanding of entity management, document management, invoicing, and accounting systems
• Experience in operating within multinational, matrixed environments
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to challenge business and technical specifications where necessary

Essential Qualifications

• Proven experience in DevOps or related roles, with a track record of implementing DevOps practices in complex environments
• Deep understanding of system configuration, processes, and data management
• Experience working with global teams in a services-based organization
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Education and Professional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or comparable work experience
